11 Private university gets NUC Approval

Yesterday marked a monumental step forward for university education in Nigeria as provisional licences were granted to ELEVEN brand new private universities.

The licencing which was performed by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, alongside the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu FCVSN, signifies the official recognition of these Universities.

They are:

1. New City University, Ayetoro, Ogun State

2. University of Fortune, Igbotako, Ondo State

3. Eranova University, Abuja, FCT

4. Minaret University, Ikirun, Ogun State

5. Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin University (AATU), Oke-Ogba, Ganmo, Ilorin, Kwara State

6. Southern Atlantic University, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State

7. Lens University, Ilemona, Kwara State

8. Monarch University, Iyesi Ota, Ogun State

9. Tonnie Iredia University of Communication, Benin City, Edo State

10. Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management, Lagos, Lagos State

11. Kevin Eze University, Mgbowo, Enugu State

This landmark occasion marks a significant step towards increasing access to university education and celebrates the efforts of the private sector in shaping the future of Nigerian higher education.
