In a move aimed at bringing relief to Nigerians during the Yuletide season, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol to N899.50 per litre.
This new price represents a significant decrease from the previous price of N970 per litre, which was announced on November 24. The price reduction is expected to have a positive impact on the economy, as it will lead to lower transportation costs and reduced prices of goods and services.
The management of Dangote Refinery expressed its commitment to making petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians. With a refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, Dangote Refinery is well-positioned to meet Nigeria’s refined petroleum product requirements, with a surplus available for export.
The price reduction is seen as a welcome development, especially during the Yuletide season when Nigerians are expected to travel extensively. It is hoped that this move will help to reduce the financial burden on Nigerians during this period.
