Covenant University Shines as 90% of Graduates Land Jobs, Says Chancellor Oyedepo
Covenant University, located in Ota, Ogun, stands as a beacon of educational excellence in Nigeria. Dr. David Oyedepo, the Chancellor of the university, recently revealed that over 90% of its graduates are employable, a testament to the institution’s commitment to providing world-class education.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Dr. Oyedepo expressed pride in the university’s top-ranking status among Nigerian universities for producing the most employable graduates. He emphasized that this achievement is largely due to the university’s leadership development programs, which have equipped students with both leadership skills and practical solutions to address national and global challenges.
“Our graduates are not just educated, but prepared with the competencies required to lead and tackle critical issues head-on,” Oyedepo shared.
He further called on other institutions across the country to prioritize research that addresses local challenges, reducing the reliance on foreign solutions. He urged them to look within and find innovative ways to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
