LASUSTECH fires three lecturers over sexual harassment

The management of Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, has formally dismissed three academic staff members over confirmed cases of sexual harassment.

 

Those affected include

Nurudeen Hassan of the Mass Communication Department

Kareem Arigbabu and Olayinka Uthman from the Department of Arts and Design.

 

Their dismissal followed a thorough investigation and subsequent deliberations by the institution’s Governing Council.

 

The action was taken in line with Section 5.5.2(v) of the University’s Senior Staff Conditions of Service, as stated in an internal memo titled “Dismissal of Staff Members Due to Sexual Harassment Allegations.”
