The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of 379,000 candidates who sat for the rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination [UTME].
The resit was conducted between Friday and Monday after widespread complaints of technical and human errors during the initial UTME, which significantly impacted candidates’ performance, especially in Lagos and the South-East.
The Board stated that the glitches necessitated rescheduling the exam, acknowledging lapses in its system.

How to Check Your JAMB Result via SMS
1. Use your registered phone number: Ensure you’re sending the SMS from the same phone number you used during your JAMB registration.
2. Compose the SMS: Type the message: UTMERESULT (in uppercase, without spaces).
3. Send the SMS: Send this message to either 55019 or 66019.
4. Ensure sufficient airtime: Make sure you have at least ₦50 airtime on your line, as this is the cost for the SMS.
5. Await the response: You’ll receive an SMS reply with your result or a status message.
