BREAKING: ADELU BECOMES UNILORIN’S 38TH STUDENTS’ UNION PRESIDENT

The results were officially released following the 2024/2025 Students’ Union elections.
Adelu secured 2,211 votes, defeating his closest rival, Rasheed Afees Opeyemi (Rashaf), who garnered 1,935 votes, bringing the total votes cast for the presidential seat to 4,146.
The election, which was keenly monitored across both the Main Campus and the College of Health Sciences (COHS), witnessed a significant turnout, reflecting the students’ commitment to democratic engagement and student leadership.
Other key winners in the Central Executive Council (CEC) include:
– Vice President: Ganiyu Rahmat Bukola (Rahma) – 2,084 votes
– General Secretary: Alaafin Kaosarat Ajoke – 2,371 votes
– Public Relations Officer: Adam Mozeed (Zeed) – 2,308 votes
– Social Secretary: Abiola Idris Olaoye (King Hoye) – 2,409 votes
– Sport Secretary: Oladoju Gideon (Ola of Pharmacy) – 2,362 votes
This election marks another chapter in the student union’s legacy of representation and service, with expectations high for the Adelu-led administration to build on past achievements and advocate for students’ welfare.
