DECLARATION OF BREAK FOR STAFF AND STUDENTS
This is to inform all members of the University Community that the University Management has
graciously approved a break for both staff and students with effect from Tuesday, 23rd December,
2025, to Friday, 2nd January, 2026.
Similarly, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that the following categories of staff are exempted:
1. Staff involved in essential services, such as: University Health Services; Fire Services; Security
Personnel; Porter; Works; COMSIT; and Corporate Affairs, etc., who will be granted days off at a
later time as appropriate;
2. Management staff;
3. Members of staff whose programmes are scheduled for accreditation during the break; and
4. Staff whose services may be required during the break shall be recalled as necessary.
Consequently, all affected members of staff are hereby enjoined to note the above directives for
due compliance, please.
