AKSU Launches Nursing And Health Science Degree Programmes
Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has now started offering nursing and other health‑related degree programmes.
New Health Sciences Programmes at AKSU
AKSU has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run full‑time Bachelor’s degree programmes in the Faculty of Health Sciences starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.
-This includes Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) along with other health courses like Public Health, Community Health Science, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Science, etc.
Admission Requirements
Candidates must have selected Akwa Ibom State University as their first choice in the JAMB UTME.
For Nursing Science, a minimum UTME score of 290 has been stated as part of the eligibility criteria for the 2025/2026 admission exercise.
Admission Process
The online registration portal for the 2025/2026 intake was announced to open on Monday, 5 January 2026
