AL-HIKMAH UNIVERSITY, ILORIN ANNOUNCES VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF VICE CHANCELLOR
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, wishes to announce that the position of Vice-Chancellor will become vacant on July 13, 2025. The university’s Governing Council invites interested, qualified, and highly motivated candidates with at least 15 years of academic and administrative experience to apply.
The ideal candidate should be a seasoned academic and administrator, holding a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and having attained the rank of Professor with a minimum of eight years of experience. They should also be below 64 years old, mentally and physically fit, and have a strong track record of integrity.
The Vice-Chancellor will serve as the Chief Executive and Academic Officer, responsible for managing the university’s human, financial, and material resources. They will also be expected to maintain peace, order, and efficient management of the university’s affairs.
The successful candidate will be appointed for a single five-year term, with an attractive remuneration package comparable to other Nigerian universities.
Applications should include a detailed CV, certificates, and credentials, as well as a statement of vision for the university (minimum 750 words, maximum 1,000 words).
