APC’s Empty Propaganda on O’YES – A Party of Failure, Fear and Falsehood

The attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) New Media Directorate has been drawn to a poorly scripted press statement signed by the Osun APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, warning members to be “wary” of supposed directives on O’YES cadet empowerment. Once again, APC has shown that it thrives only on propaganda, confusion, and baseless accusations.
For clarity: O’YES was not an APC property but a state initiative under the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, designed to empower Osun youths. Yet, APC has consistently used it as a political bait, weaponizing the hopes of thousands of unemployed young men and women. Now that another party is discussing ways to rechannel the same programme for genuine empowerment, APC is jittery because it has nothing concrete to offer.
It is laughable that APC, after years of paying lip service to youth empowerment, is now pretending to be the defender of O’YES cadets. If APC truly valued these young citizens, why did it reduce them to pawns during its years of maladministration? Why is it only when another political force offers solutions that APC suddenly finds its voice?
The attempt to brand fellow politicians as “fraudsters” and “pension eaters” is both hypocritical and desperate. Osun people are not blind. They know the APC is a sinking ship, riven by internal betrayals and power struggles. Even APC members are daily trooping out in frustration to seek greener pastures in other political platforms like ADC, where ideas matter more than empty propaganda.
ADC therefore calls on Osun citizens, especially the youth, to disregard APC’s lies and embrace platforms that prioritize innovation, empowerment, and sincerity of purpose. Unlike APC, we will not insult your intelligence with recycled falsehood.
Sooko Tajudeen Lawal and his cohorts should stop crying wolf where none exists. The truth is simple: APC is afraid of ADC’s rising influence, and O’YES beneficiaries will not forget the party that exploited their struggles for politics without offering real solutions.
The future belongs to those who stand for progress, and in Osun today, that future is ADC.
Signed
ADC New Media Directorate Osun.
