The Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN) inducted 35 Doctor of Optometry graduates from the University of Ilorin into the optometry profession on Tuesday.
The induction ceremony, a significant milestone for the graduates, was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Ilorin, the Registrar, the Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences, the Dean of Student Affairs, and other faculty deans.
Also present were the Registrar of ODORBN, Dr. Obinna Edwin Awiaka, and a representative of the National President of Optometrists in Nigeria, ably represented by the Secretary of the association, Dr. Victor Kelechi Aliche.
In his address, the Registrar of ODORBN commended the inductees for their hard work and dedication, urging them to uphold the highest ethical standards as they step into the professional world.
The ceremony concluded with the administration of the professional oath, formally welcoming the 35 inductees into the optometry profession.
