Federal University Lokoja Commends JAMB for Exemplary Leadership in Handling UTME System Error

Lokoja, Nigeria – May 17, 2025:
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has publicly praised the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for its transparency and integrity in addressing a system error during the recently conducted Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In a letter dated May 16, 2025, addressed to JAMB Registrar Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Professor Akinwumi lauded the board’s exemplary leadership, humility, and openness in managing the incident.
The letter, written on behalf of the university’s management, staff, and academic community, highlighted JAMB’s public acknowledgment of the error as a rare and commendable act of honesty in today’s public leadership landscape.
