FUHSI Pro-Chancellor challenges Transportation Crisis

The Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI), Osun State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, has made a significant impact on student welfare by donating two mini-buses to the institution. The donation, which took place on the university campus in Ila-Orangun, is aimed at addressing transportation challenges faced by students.

While presenting the buses, Prof. Sulaiman emphasized his commitment to alleviating students’ struggles. He noted, *“This all started from an interaction with students at the first Governing Council meeting. The Director of Student Affairs highlighted the hardships students face, including walking long distances to access classrooms. I felt obligated to make a difference, and today, we are demonstrating that the university’s leadership truly cares for its students.”

Prof. Sulaiman also called on the nation’s elite to contribute towards building a better Nigeria through purposeful leadership. He asserted that when the country’s privileged class takes deliberate actions to improve societal conditions, Nigeria will experience significant positive changes.

On the federal government’s plans for education, he praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing investments in the sector. He reiterated FUHSI’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates, emphasizing that the institution will remain steadfast in its mission.

This thoughtful donation highlights the university’s dedication to student welfare and serves as an inspiration for others in leadership positions to contribute meaningfully to society progress
