FUTMINNA RESTRUCTURES SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE, APPOINTS NEW ACTING DEANS
The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has restructured its Faculty of Agriculture, splitting it into three distinct schools. This move is part of the university’s efforts to reposition and strengthen its academic programs.
The three new schools are:
– School of Agricultural Management and Technology: This school comprises the Departments of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development (AEX), and Agricultural Economics and Farm Management (AEC).
– School of Agronomy and Forestry: This school consists of the Departments of Soil Science and Land Management (SLM), Crop Production (CRP), Horticulture (HRT), and Forestry.
– School of Food Science and Agricultural Technology: This school encompasses the Departments of Food Science and Technology (FST), Water Resources, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology (WAFT), and Animal Production Technology (APT).
According to a statement released by the Faculty President of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Federal University of Technology Minna, AMB Adekunle Damola Sodiq “The Vice Chancellor has approved the appointment of the following individuals as Acting Deans for the respective schools:”
- ” Professor J. H. Tsado: Acting Dean, School of Agricultural Management and Extension Technology
2. Professor Haruna Ibrahim: Acting Dean, School of Agronomy and Forestry Technology
3. Professor J. C Anoye: Acting Dean, School of Food Science and Agricultural Technology”
The university congratulates the newly appointed Acting Deans and wishes them a successful tenure. This restructuring is expected to bring about positive developments in the respective schools.
