JAMB Introduces Lost SIM Recovery Feature Ahead of 2025 UTME/DE Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched a new feature to assist candidates who have lost their previously registered SIM cards.

Announcing the update on its official X handle, JAMB confirmed that the feature is now available at all accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. Affected candidates can visit any CBT centre to complete a required template and gain access to this service.

However, the board clarified that SIM swap is still not an option.

“Candidates unable to retrieve their previously registered SIM cards now have an alternative. A dedicated feature is available at all CBT centres to resolve such cases. Simply visit any accredited centre and fill out the necessary template. Note that SIM swap remains unavailable,” JAMB stated.
