KWASU STUDENT UNION ISSUES NOTICE TO STUDENTS

In response to the recent rise in robbery incidents within the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete community, the Students’ Union, in collaboration with the University Management, has announced a proactive move to tackle the situation head-on.

 

According to a press release signed by the Executive President of the Students’ Union, Comrade Abdulafeez Babatunde Kewulere (popularly known as *Baba*), a high-level meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday. This crucial gathering will bring together community leaders, top police officials, and other stakeholders to deliberate on strategic measures aimed at ending the wave of insecurity affecting students and residents alike.

 

“This is a trying time for us as a student community, but this phase shall soon pass,” the President assured. “We are in this together, and every effort will be made to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”

 

Students who have suffered losses or injuries as a result of the robberies are encouraged to come forward with well-documented reports. The Union is requesting that affected individuals contact the General Secretary via +234 815 774 3111 and provide the following information:

 

* Full name and hostel of residence

* Date and time of the robbery incident

* Detailed list of stolen or damaged items

* Any hospital or medical bills incurred

 

The Students’ Union emphasizes that timely and detailed reporting will aid in both ongoing investigations and the formulation of future preventive strategies.

The statement was co-signed by the Union’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Comrade Isiaq Afolorunsho Agbabiaka (Aziko), reaffirming the Union’s commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of all Kwasuites.
