Of the registered candidates, 89,621 (96.50%) were graded, with 57,651 (62.07%) males and 35,224 (37.93%) females.

Reduced Malpractice and Improved Standards

Dr. Mohammed highlighted a significant reduction in examination malpractice, with 435 candidates (0.47%) involved in 516 cases, down from 349 candidates (0.52%) in 524 cases in 2024. He attributed the improved performance and reduced malpractice to the Federal Government’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, launched in May 2025. These efforts aim to equip Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills to address industry gaps.

“The 2025 results reflect a commitment to fostering practical, skills-based education over mere paper qualifications, which is critical for national development,” Dr. Mohammed stated. He commended the Federal Ministry of Education and NABTEB staff for their support in advancing TVET initiatives.
