Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has announced the schedule for its 19th Convocation Ceremonies, set to take place from Wednesday, 26th March, to Friday, 28th March, 2025. The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph I. Ikechebelu, made the announcement on behalf of the Senate, Management, Staff, and Students, inviting the public to participate in the events.
According to the programme, the ceremonies will begin on Wednesday, 26th March, with a Vice-Chancellor’s press conference 9:30 AM in the Council Chamber. This will be followed by the Convocation Lecture and the Award of Prizes 11:00 AM in the University Auditorium.
On Thursday, 27th March, the university will confer first degrees on graduating students in a ceremony scheduled for 11:00 AM at the Convocation Arena.
The convocation will conclude on Friday, 28th March, starting with the commissioning of completed projects 9:00 AM. This will be followed by the Award of Higher Degrees and Honorary Degrees, as well as the installation of Emeriti Professors, 11:00 AM in the Convocation Arena.
The Chairman of the Senate Ceremonials Committee, Professor Au Nnonyelu, and the Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Modebelu, have assured that all necessary arrangements are in place for a smooth and successful event.
