Osun Lawmaker,Hon.Oderinwale Empowers Students in His Constituency with WAEC Fee Donation
Hon. Oderinwale Elisha, a member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Ayedire State Constituency, has extended his support to education by donating ₦3 million to cover the WAEC fees of senior secondary school students in his constituency.
Popularly known as “Minister,” Hon. Oderinwale made the donation during the Ayedire Local Government chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers’ (NUT) end-of-year party on Friday. This gesture, he explained, is part of his ongoing commitment to easing the financial burden on parents while promoting academic excellence among students. “In fulfillment of my unwavering commitment to the academic development of young minds in Ayedire State Constituency, I am delighted to announce the presentation of a ₦3 million cheque to sponsor WAEC fees for the most outstanding students from the second edition of the Ayedire IseOluwa Free Holiday Coaching,” he stated. “This initiative is designed to empower our future leaders and alleviate parents’ financial struggles.”
Hon.Oderinwale further emphasized the long-term impact of investing in education, noting that it nurtures a culture of diligence and excellence within the constituency.
He also expressed gratitude for receiving a Leadership Award from the Federation of Ayedire Students’ Union (FASU) at their recent National Summit. He described the recognition as a call to intensify his efforts toward educational and community development. “This recognition reaffirms the value of purposeful leadership. I remain committed to ensuring that every child in our constituency has access to quality education. Together, let us build a brighter future where every child can dream, learn, and succeed,” he added.
