A video of late Nigerian gospel singer, Bunmi Omije Ojumi, celebrating her birthday on a hospital bed before she passed away has surfaced online and, by extension, sparked emotional reactions among online users.
Recall on January 13th, 2025, Entertainment Region reported that gospel singer, Omije Ojumi, whose full name is Bunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye, had been lost to the cold hands of death at a Lagos hospital.
Before she passed away, a clip of her had earlier trended online, where Bunmi Omije Ojumi was seen in an uncomfortable state as she battled a swollen leg.
However, a clip that surfaced online a few hours ago showed the moment gospel Singer Alayo Melody celebrated Omije Oju mi’s birthday for her on the hospital bed.
In the clip, Bunmi Omije Ojumi was seen lying flat on the bed with an emaciated face while gospel singer Alayo melody presented her with a birthday cake, where 46-year-old was written and that was just the begining.
In the clip that has generated a significant impression online, gospel singer Alayo Melody was seen praying for her, wishing her a quick recovery and further went ahead to sing in an angelic manner for her and she responded by managing to dance and smile on the hospital bed.
According to some commenters after seeing the video, gospel singer Bunmi Omije Ojumi died as a result of kidney issue.
Investigative journalist, Temilola Sobola, while sharing the video, wrote, “Gospel Singer Alayo Melody has shared a video of how he celebrated Singer Omije Oju mi’s birthday for her on the hospital bed God bless you @alayomelodysingerintl for showing her love when she was alive. May her soul Rest In Peace
