UNILORIN HOLDS MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has formally matriculated a total of 10,166 newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session, marking the official commencement of their academic journey in the institution.
The matriculation ceremony which held on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, took place at the University’s Multipurpose hall, where fresh students were presented and administered the matriculation oath in accordance with the institution’s statutes.
Addressing the new students, the University authorities charged them to uphold the core values of the institution, including academic excellence, discipline, integrity, and respect for university regulations. They were reminded that matriculation signifies a formal acceptance of the rules guiding studentship at UNILORIN and a commitment to responsible conduct throughout their stay in the university.
The management also advised the matriculating students to remain focused on their studies, make productive use of the academic environment, and shun all forms of misconduct that could jeopardize their academic pursuits.
The ceremony attracted principal officers of the University, deans of faculties, members of Senate, parents, guardians, and well-wishers, all of whom witnessed the formal induction of the new students into the UNILORIN academic community.
With the matriculation exercise concluded, the 10,166 students are now fully recognized as bona fide students of the University of Ilorin for the 2025/2026 academic session.
